In this Scratch project, a cute dog barks when the green flag is clicked, while its costume changes to show a barking pose. At the same time, the background also changes. This is a fun way to learn how to use sound, costume switching, and backdrop changingĀ together in a single animation.
ā Step 1. Add Sprites and Backdrops
š¶Ā Choose a Dog spriteĀ (like ādog2ā or any custom one).
Make sure it has at least 2 costumesĀ (e.g., normal and barking). If not, you can duplicate and edit.
šĀ Add 2 backdropsĀ (e.g., āParkā and āYardā or āStreetā).
ā StepĀ 2. Add Dog Bark Sound
Click on the Dog sprite, go to the Sounds tab
Click āChoose a Soundā and add āDog2āĀ or any barking sound
šĀ Code for Dog Sprite:
when green flag clicked
play sound [Dog2 v]
switch costume to [barking costume v]
switch backdrop to [next backdrop v]
say [Bow] for 2 seconds
switch costume to [normal costume v]
